Technical Description
Device type / operating principle
-
The HD2013-DB is a rainfall data logger and indicator designed to read and store pulses generated by a tipping bucket rain gauge.
-
An LCD display allows real-time monitoring of rainfall amounts over different time intervals.
-
It counts reed contact signals from the rain gauge and records them in memory for later analysis.
Main Technical Features
-
Memory capacity: Stores up to 32,255 pulses.
-
Power supply: Long-life lithium battery (BAT-2013DB).
-
Connector: M12, 8-pole RS-232C serial port.
-
Compatibility: Works with rain gauges having NC (normally closed) or NO (normally open) contacts.
-
Display: LCD screen shows rainfall in real time or in preset periods.
-
Construction & protection: Waterproof housing; use of reed relays reduces water ingress risk.
-
Operation: Counts pulses from the tipping bucket gauge; can apply automatic corrections based on rainfall rate.
-
Software support: Parameters can be configured, data downloaded, and real-time monitoring performed via HD32MTLogger software.
Installation & Maintenance
-
Install in an open area, away from obstacles.
